In Inburgerify you see a progress indicator on lessons, themes and units that only fills completely at a certain score. Here you read exactly what's behind it.
What does that 60% mean?
A lesson, theme or unit only counts as complete once every question in it has been answered at least once AND the average is 60% or higher. That mirrors the thinking behind the official pass mark, as a study habit, not literally the same percentage as each official exam part.
Which parts count towards mastery
This applies to Learn, KNM and Practice-Reading/Listening, where right or wrong can be determined automatically.
Why Writing and Speaking work differently
Writing and Speaking stay self-assessed: there's no automatic right/wrong for open writing or speaking answers, so those parts don't count towards the 60% mastery threshold.
What is Review and how do you use it smartly?
Review is a widget on the Home page that uses exactly the same progress data to show you questions you haven't mastered yet and asks you to try them again. Use Review regularly to target your weak spots and improve them, instead of always starting new material while old questions stay unanswered.
