There's no fixed number of hours per week that applies to everyone to pass the civic integration exam. What is true for everyone: how you organise that time makes a big difference.
Why the number of hours needed differs per person
How much time you need depends heavily on your starting level, how much Dutch you already use in daily life, and how much time you actually have available. So don't compare yourself too strictly with others.
Consistency matters more than total hours
Practising 20 to 30 minutes every day works better than four hours once a week all at once. Regular practice helps your brain really embed the language, instead of forgetting it quickly after a long session.
Spread your time across the parts
Deliberately divide your available time across the different exam parts, instead of always doing the same thing. This way you avoid becoming strong in one part while another stays neglected.
How a daily planner helps you here
A fixed daily routine is easier to stick with than loose, unplanned moments. Inburgerify's Learning Plan automatically builds a daily session that divides your practice time in manageable chunks across the parts, so you don't have to figure out what to work on today.
Let the Learning Plan do the planning for you
Start with Inburgerify's daily practice session and work consistently, in small steps, towards your exam.
